Ctrl + Alt + Del-icious: Vegan Pumpkin Spice Keyboard Waffles [RECIPE]
Callin’ all nerd-at-heart, syrup-lovin’ waffle aficionados! (psst, y’all are my people!!) This post if for you! ♥ As y’all may have noticed, I LOVE featuring quirky stuff on VBR. When I happened across this Keyboard Waffle Iron (!!!) online, I was like, “Mama NEEDS!”
This waffle iron is hella rad, and it’s well-designed and sturdy, too! It’s made with die-cast aluminum, it has heat-resistant bakelite handles, it shuts securely with magnets, and it’s completely wireless! Best part – more waffley impressions (qwerty-style) = MORE maple syrup! Gimme ALL the dang syrup, STAT! Seriously, this big-ass waffle is definitely more of a Sunny serving size (puts all dinky store-bought waffles to shame!).
p.s. I ate 2.5 of these in one sitting. Don’t judge.
So yeah, peep the awesomeness that is was (←flick a tear) my amazing vegan pumpkin spice waffles. SOFA KING good. I’ve already decided to make these every weekend until forever.
Vegan Pumpkin Spice Waffles
- 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (I used all-purpose gluten-free flour, but either works well)
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 2 tsp pumpkin spice
- 1 1/4 cup non-dairy milk
- 1 cup canned pumpkin
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Mix dry ingredients. Mix wet ingredients in a separate bowl. Combine ALL the ingredients, and mix until the clumpies are gone. Use 3/4 cup batter and evenly fill your waffle iron. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side and pop out. Slather with copious amounts of maple syrup, fruit, nuts, So Delicious coconut whipped cream (that’s how I rocked it), or whatever makes your taste buds boogie down.
Makes 4 keyboard waffles.
